Earlier last year, Angel Meadow park gained a luscious installation created by gardener Clive Scott. Winning a Silver Gilt medal from RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park, Every Cloud has a Silver Lining, is full of mood, style and warmth.

With a mixture of different foliage containing rich colours like deep purples, shining silvers and sleek touches of black, the garden is a perfect combination of colour and texture, and a delight to look at. If, like us, you want a touch of this pretty patch in your own home, then you’ve come to the right place.

Senecio Angel Wings

A fairly new species, this plant has glorious silver leaves which are extremely soft to touch. Often mistaken for the much smaller “lamb’s ears”, this is certainly a statement plant. Keep away from the radiators and the Senecio will thrive!

Moderate watering

Well-drained soil.

Position: Full sun

Tradescantia Zebrina

This eye-catching silver and purple hanging plant can change the colour of its leaves depending on how much light it receives. The Tradescantia Zebrina is quite an easy one to maintain and can live inside or be moved outside in the warmer months to an area with partial sun and shade. Unlike some houseplants that take a long time to fill out, this one can grow quickly.

Moderate watering, water less through winter

Aspidistra Elatior

Also known as the “cast iron plant”, this baby is perfect for the darker areas of your home that you want to add a splash of colour to. It has gorgeous full, long green leaves that look amazing all year round. We’ve nominated this one our must-have plant for every home!

Position: Full shade- partial shade
